‘Kveik’ isn’t a style of beer, but rather the word for ‘Yeast’ in Norwegian dialect. An ancient yeast, popular in Norwegian Farmhouse Ales, it’s known to work well with fruity, tropical hops. The vinous lemon peel & pleasant herbal character from Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc marry nicely with the ripe orange, papaya & grapefruit flavours of Citra and Amarillo. This is the first recipe from our newest brewer, Greg, who joined us from Five Points in September. It’s a vibrant, tropical, fruity pale ale rich in texture, aroma, and unusual brewing heritage! A balanced, refreshing finish, suitable for all pale ale fanatics!
