A lockdown classic returns! First brewed in June 2020, Portra was produced for the express purpose of enjoying the occasional treat of a socially distanced beer after finishing work for the day. Brewed to counterbalance the scores of big hitting beers that were flying out at the time, we wanted to remind everyone of our never-ending quest of getting the full mouthfeel, flavour intensity, and body of one of our IPAs, but wrapped up into a sessionable strength. We finally hit the nail on the head with Portra and it makes a welcome return here; Comet, Centennial, Citra, and Mosaic all meld for a pale ale bursting with tropical fruit notes, wrapped up in a warm hug of LA3 for massive suspension and body. Awesome.
