Brewed for our third birthday, this monstrous IPA is sweet, bitter and strong, packed with 30g/l of hops split between the boil and dry hop. During a 2 hour boil we added 1.5Kg of hops, a mix of Warrior, Simcoe and Amarillo, every 5 minutes. A total of 37.5Kg was added to the kettle, totalling nearly 200IBU’s. We then dry hopped it with 37.5Kg of the same hop mix, for a total hop rate of 75Kg (30 g/l). Barley wine or IPA? Who knows, all we know is that it’s a monster beer.
