This beer is the first release in our Paragons of Equality series and has been brewed specifically in support of International Women's Day (IWD). Powerfully (but not aggressively) hopped to create a chorus of overripe fruit flavours.
Elizabeth Blackwell tore free from the confines of 19th-century male-dominated society on both sides of the Atlantic: In 1847 America, she forced the all-male admissions board of the Geneva Medical College to capitulate when the student body voted unanimously to accept her, opening the door for her to be the first woman to graduate medical school in the U.S. Upon returning to the UK in 1858, she became the first woman on the Medical Register of the General Medical Council.
We raise our glasses to her triumph!
