ABOUT THE BREWERY

3 Fonteinen - Belgium

Belgium's 3 Fonteinen started life as a geuzery (blendery) taking the raw, fresh beer from local Lambic breweries like De Cam and Cantillon and allowing it to ferment and age slowly in their huge collection of barrels and foeders before blending and often resting the beers on a huge amount of fresh local fruit. Since then 3 Fonteinen have expanded to brew their own beer as well. Their Lambics are frankly outstanding! The time, quality of ingredients and resources needed to make the beers means that they ultimately come with a price tag but if you like your Wild Ales, Sours and Lambics then you can't do much better than this world class brewery!

Description

"Bottling date: 06/07/2023 For this Druif, we macerated Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) grapes from Harth+Harth, a biodynamic, Demeter-certified natural wine maker from Rheinhessen, Germany. Maceration took over nine months before being blended and bottled. We used over 60% of old lambik, rendering the weighted average age of this blend to over 28 months on the moment of bottling. The final fruit intensity of this blend is 425 grams of Pinot Noir grapes per litre of Druif, that is 320 grams in this bottle. Half of the cereals used to brew the original seven lambikken were sourced in Pajottenland."

SHIPPING TO EUROPE

Unfortunately we are not currently shipping goods to Europe due to post-brexit challenges with shipping alcohol. We hope to be able to restart shipping to Europe soon.  

COLLECT IN STORE 

All of our online logistics and fulfilment take place at our Putney store. This means that:
If you choose to collect your order from the Brixton store, we will pick your order from our Putney location and transfer the order over to Brixton ready for you to collect. We ordinarily transfer orders to Brixton at least three times a week but we advise allowing up to three working days for your order to be ready to collect. We will let you know as soon as your order is ready to pick up.
We are working hard to find a more streamlined solution which will allow Brixton customers to click and collect almost immediately but this is not yet possible. 
If you order to collect from our Putney store, your order will be ready to collect almost immediately (within our opening hours). 
 

SHIPPING COSTS

UK Mainland Addresses: Orders over £75 are Free, orders under £75 are £7.49, sent via DPD.
Northern Ireland Addresses: All orders are charged at £12.49 sent via Evri.
London 1 Hour London Delivery Service: Price is based on distance from our Putney store and is calculated automatically at checkout. These orders are sent via Stuart Delivery (available within store opening hours only).  
 

DESPATCH TIMINGS & COURIER SERVICES

We work to the following guidelines and in almost all cases meet and even exceed these packing and shipping times. In some rare instances delivery times may take longer (such as bank holidays, Christmas/New Year or periods of unusually high ordering volumes), please bear with us, your order is coming as quickly as possible. 
All orders place before 6pm will be packaged ready for our courier partners to collect from the shop the following working day.
MAINLAND UK ORDERS: We employ a next working day courier delivery service with DPD Local for mainland UK addresses (please note that orders Highland and island addresses may take 2-3 working days). Once DPD have collected your order from us, your parcel should be delivered to you next working day. Please note that next working day delivery is not guaranteed by DPD but is rarely not achieved.
NORTHERN IRELAND: Shipping to Northern Ireland addresses is available via Evri courier service. This is by far the most economical and reliable service on the market for shipments to Northern Ireland, allowing us to offer great beer to customers in Northern Ireland at the lowest possible price.  Once Evri has collected your order from us, your parcel should be delivered to you within the next 2-3 working days. 
1 HOUR DELIVERY SERVICE: During store opening hours, we offer a 1 hour delivery service via Stuart Delivery. The price for this service is automatically calculated at the checkout and will only be presented to you if your delivery address is within the serviceable area. Once your order is place, we'll prepare it right away and await the rider to collect. You'll be provided with a tracking link and your order should be delivered within an hour of placing the order. Please note, these timelines are not guaranteed and are dependent on rider availability and distance from the store. 
 

MISSED DELIVERY

If our courier partners have attempted delivery but been unsuccessful they will leave a missed delivery card with details of how to arrange re-delivery. Please contact the courier using the details on the card to arrange re-delivery.

BREAKAGES
We take an enormous amount of care in packing your order to make sure it arrives in the same great condition that it left us in. Breakages may, very occasionally, happen in transit so if your order arrives and one (or more) items are broken please take photos and get in touch with us immediately, or within 2 days of the order arriving either by email (onlineshop [at] ghostwhalelondon [dot] com) or by calling us at the shop on 0207 207 1641. We will refund you for the broken item(s).


RETURNS

If you are unhappy with your order once it arrives and wish to return some or all of the items please firstly contact us by email within 5 working days of receiving the delivery to see if we are able to resolve the issue. If we are unable to resolve the issue and you wish to return the items for a refund then please securely and safely package the items and have them couriered to us using a fragile liquids service from a courier firm of your choice. We recommend using UPS. Please note that shipping costs to get the initial order to you will not be refunded. You, the customer shall bare the cost of shipping to return the goods to us. The safe packaging and transportation of goods to us is the responsibility of you, the customer until such time as the goods are received by us in good condition ready for resale. The value of items received in a condition that is ready for resale shall be refunded.

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS

If an item you have placed an order for is out of stock in our store we shall contact you before packing and shipping your order with a suggested alternative. If a suitable alternative is not available, we shall ship the rest of your order and issue a refund for the out of stock item.
