The Veil's 10th Anniversary: A UK Exclusive Tasting Event - Tuesday 26th May - Ghost Whale Putney

Richmond, Virginia's world-renowned brewing operation The Veil celebrates their 10th anniversary this year, and, as is the way in the world of modern craft beer, has marked the occasion by producing some incredibly silly birthday beers. 2026 just so happens to also mark 10 years of Ghost Whale, so we've teamed up with The Veil to help us celebrate each other's special milestone. 

Ray's little sister Libby, who lives touching(ish) distance from The Veil, has kindly muled 5 of their wacky & wonderful 10th anniversary beers for us to sample our way through in our Putney shop on the evening of Tuesday the 26th of May, in what will be a UK exclusive. 

Here's the epic list of what's pouring: 

Pepp Bois Presents The Transcendence of Pie [UnTappd: 3.61]: 5% White clam pizza inspired Gose, brewed with semolina flour & whole white clam pizzas in the mash; oregano, parsley, coriander, sea salt, Calabrian chili & 600 little neck clams in the boil; and fermented on lemon oil & lemon puree. Made in collaboration with Omnipollo, Root + Branch & TEST.

Tefnut Mega Margarita Colada Crusher: Xtreme [UnTappd: 4.32]: 10% Triple fruited Imperial Gose conditioned on lime, orange, agave, coconut creme, and Emperor's coconut. Made in collaboration with Omnipollo.

Luxurious Luxury: X [UnTappd: 4.42]: 10% Imperial Gose packed with blackberry concentrate, yuzu purée, marshmallows, truffle salt, edible 24k gold and caviar. Made in collaboration with Evil Twin.

C (2026) [UnTappd: 4.52]: 22.5% Quintuple barrel aged Triple Bock. Brewed in 2021 and lagered for 6 weeks before aging 53 months across 5 rounds of barrels. Made in collaboration with Pen Druid Brewing.

Double Apple Brandy Barrel Toast-E-Coilz (2026) [UnTappd: 4.5]: 17.25% Imperial Stout brewed in 2023, aged for 15 months in freshly dumped Laird's Apple Brandy barrels, racked into a second round of fresh barrels for an additional 12 months. Conditioned on vanilla beans, cinnamon & maple syrup. Made in collaboration with Cloudwater, Monkish, Other Half & Trillium.

There is a limited amount of beer and therefore limited tickets for this exclusive event. 

Each beer will be split evenly, ensuring everyone gets a healthy serving (about 55mls of each bottled beer & 110mls of each canned beer). 

Only 1 ticket can be purchased per person.

This is not a bottle share event, we will be focused exclusively on the event beers so please avoid bringing any of your own beer from home. 

No physical ticket will be issued for this event. Your order confirmation email serves as your ticket. Please bring it and ID with you for the event. We'll have a list of ticket holders ready to check you in.
